Terms and conditions
The Manage your vehicle testing service is an online portal for:
- Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) staff
- Privately Owned Testing Facility (POTF) staff
- Users who have a DVSA vehicle testing pre-funded account
The service will enable ATF and POTF staff to view real-time testing taking place at their testing facility, view historical testing and invoices, view and top up their pre-funded account, and manage their vehicle testing account.
Non-testing users can view the balance and top up their DVSA vehicle testing pre-funded account.
By using the Manage your vehicle testing service you indicate that you accept these terms and conditions, and agree to abide by them.
The Manage your vehicle testing service is owned and operated by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), an executive agency of the Department for Transport (DfT).
Conditions of use
If you combine DVSA data with additional information that enables the identification of a living individual, you will assume responsibility for compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018
Privacy Policy
DVSA has access to personal information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy (please see the section below). By using the Manage your vehicle testing service, you agree to us accessing this information. The DVSA does not share information provided by users of this service with any third party.
Accuracy of data
The DVSA shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that the data is accurate and up to date before it is transmitted. The DVSA cannot provide guarantees, conditions or warranties as to the accuracy of the data provided. The DVSA does not accept any liability for any inaccurate information supplied.
In the unlikely event that inaccurate information is identified within the Manage your vehicle testing service, you may notify DVSA customer support using the details provided below.
Incidents
The DVSA will inform you immediately of any loss or misuse of data as a result of internal DVSA incidents, and will keep you informed of any subsequent investigations.
You shall notify the DVSA immediately of any loss or misuse of data that you become aware of and keep the DVSA informed using the DVSA security operations centre and customer support contact details provided below.
You shall be responsible for taking any action necessary to resolve any such incident and will take all necessary steps to ensure the incident is not repeated. DVSA may provide support in resolving the incident and providing assistance in any related investigations.

Termination
DVSA reserves the right to withdraw the Manage your vehicle testing service at any point.
Continuity of service
Where possible, DVSA will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that there is no break in the continuity of service and will only make changes when required.
Outages may be required on occasions where essential upgrades to the service need to be implemented. You will be notified in advance of any scheduled essential upgrades, including the dates and times for these maintenance windows.
Disclaimer
DVSA does not accept liability for loss or damage incurred by users of the Manage your vehicle testing service. Whether direct, indirect or consequential; whether caused by tort, breach of contract, or otherwise in connection with our Manage your vehicle testing service, its use, the inability to use, or results of the use of our service, any websites linked to it and any materials posted on it.
This includes loss of:- income or revenue
- business
- profits or contracts
- anticipated savings
- data
- goodwill
- tangible property
- wasted management or office time
Websites or web pages to which the Manage your vehicle testing service is linked are for information purposes only. DVSA does not control , endorse, sponsor or approve of content on such websites or pages, except where it is otherwise expressly stated. DVSA does not accept responsibility or liability for any losses or penalties incurred as a result of your use of any links or reliance on the content of any website or web pages to which the Manage your vehicle testing service is linked.
DVSA does not advise the sharing of devices for the use of Manage your vehicle testing service. Where device sharing is necessary, DVSA recommend users log out of the Manage your vehicle testing service and close the browser page before another user accesses the service. DVSA does not accept responsibility or liability for any data breaches where this advice is not heeded.
Malware protection
DVSA will make every effort to check and test material at all stages of production. However, you must take your own precautions to ensure that the process you employ for accessing the Manage your vehicle testing service does not expose you to the risk of malware, malicious computer code or other forms of interference, which may damage your own computer system.
DVSA does not accept responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to your data or your computer system which may occur whilst using material derived from the Manage your vehicle testing service.
Malware, hacking and other offences
You will not misuse the Manage your vehicle testing service by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Manage your vehicle testing service, or any server, computer or database connected to DVSA. You will not attack our Manage your vehicle testing service via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities, and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them.

Use of DVSA’s logo
The names, images and logos identifying DVSA are proprietary marks of DVSA. Copying our logos and/or any other third-party logos is not permitted without prior approval from the relevant copyright owner.
Changes
DVSA reserves the right, at its discretion, to make changes to any part of Manage your vehicle testing service, the information, or these terms. Should DVSA change these terms and conditions, an updated copy will be uploaded to the Manage your vehicle testing service web page and you will be notified of any changes.
Severability
If any of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal for any reason, the remaining terms and conditions shall nevertheless continue in full force.
Events beyond DVSA control
DVSA accept no liability for any failure to comply with these terms and conditions where such failure is due to circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
If DVSA waives any rights available to it under these terms and conditions on one occasion, this does not mean that those rights will automatically be waived on any other occasion.
Governing law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
